STATE LEVEL ACTIVITIES
A) SICKLE CELL AWARENESS MONTH 24TH SEPTEMBER 2024
• Committee: Young Doctors Forum, Adamawa State in collaboration with MWAN National Outreach Committee

• Event attended: commemorated Sickle Cell Awareness Month
• Date: 24th September 2024
• Location: Gotel Television and Radio Station
• Objective: Sensitization and create awareness on Sickle Cell Disease
• Outcome: reach the general populace


B) WORLD PREMATURITY DAY CELEBRATION
• MWAN Adamawa State in collaboration with ADPHCDA, PAN/NISOM/, PAEDIATRIC DEPARTMENT, MAUTH
• Date: 18th November 2024
• Activities: Sensitization walk, World Premature Day Lecture, training of PHC workers on Neonatal Resuscitation (Helping Babies Breathe, HBB).
• Sensitization Walk: By MWAN members and other healthcare workers.
• World Premature Day Lecture: Attended by stakeholders, Health Care workers, Parents and Ex-preterm and Media personnel. There were up to 100 people in attendance.
• Training of 24 health care workers (CHEW) on Essential Newborn Care 1 (HBB)
