MWAN Anambra has continued to grow in her capacity in terms of membership, collaborations and impact in Anambra state. Currently, while her dedicated financial membership continues to improve, we have over 100 members (including non-financial members) who engage in MWAN Anambra activities.
In this biennium, MWAN Anambra has achieved increased visibility and impact as an NGO in Anambra state. We have engaged in a myriad of activities targeting children and adolescents, women, the underserved and indeed most population groups in Anambra state. We are vested in mentoring young doctors, especially the females, and supporting our members as much as we can. We have engaged in activities in line with World Health Days and MWAN National body and her sub-committees. We have leveraged on both local and international collaborations to a tune that is new and refreshing for MWAN Anambra state. We have also worked closely with the media and the Government of Anambra state in this biennium. All these activities have been geared at improving the health and well-being of ‘Ndi Anambra’.
We have maintained regular MWAN Anambra Executive and General house meetings throughout this biennium. This has been especially vital in galvanising Medical Women in the state in a bid to recommit them to MWAN Anambra. We have also maintained our obligations to MWAN National, financial and otherwise, in a most timely manner.
MWAN Anambra’s target in this biennium is to increase her financial membership strength. This is vital in maintaining our impact and sustaining all the gains we have achieved so far in this biennium as an NGO in Anambra state.
Our goal is to be the foremost medical association in the maintenance of quality healthcare in Anambra state and Nigeria.
