July is Ultraviolet (UV) Safety Awareness Month

At Maden Healthcare Foundation, we’re shining a light on the importance of protecting your skin and eyes from harmful UV rays—every day, not just sunny days.

Why UV Safety Matters:

• UV exposure is the leading cause of skin cancer, including melanoma
• It can also cause premature aging, eye damage, and weakened immunity
• UV rays are invisible and can harm you even on cloudy or cool days

Simple Ways to Stay UV-Safe:

  • Wear wide-brimmed hats and protective clothing
  • Use sunglasses with 100% UVA & UVB protection
  • Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+) every 2 hours
  • Avoid sun exposure between 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Reapply sunscreen after swimming or sweating

This July, let’s raise awareness and protect our communities from preventable UV-related harm.
